Kristen Anne Bell is an American actress and performer born in 1980. The parents of Kristen Bell were Tom Bell and Lorelei Frygier who are both news director on television. Her family was born in Huntington Woods Michigan. Her ancestry is Polish (mother) and German, English, Irish and Scottish (father). Kristen discovered her talents in entertainment as a young age. She attended her audition in 1992, and was then offered an appearance on Raggedy Ann, and Andy. Bell's mother signed her up with an agency before her 13th birthday. She later appeared on television commercials as well as newspaper ads. Now, Bell also begins classes in acting for herself. Bell made an appearance in Polish Wedding (2000) in 1998 in a role that was not credited to her. Bell was a student at Shrine Catholic High School where she participated in the music and drama club. She won the starring role of Dorothy at her school's production of The Wizard of Oz. Bell was a student at an institution called the Tisch School of the Arts where she studied Musical Theater at the Tisch School of the Arts in New York City. Bell quit studying in the year 2001 and began playing Becky, a character from Tom Sawyer. The was the same year that she also made her first credited debut as Pootie Tang. Pootie Tang (2001), however, her performance was cut and her character was not shown in the credit sequence. Bell made an appearance with Angela Bettis and Liam Neeson in 2002's Broadway revival of The Crucible.
