Anamaria Marina is a Romanian actress. She won the British Academy Television Award Best Actress for her role in the Channel 4 film Sex Traffic. The actress speaks French, German, English and Romanian well. Her father is an theater teacher at one of the country's highest-rated drama schools. Awarded the Best Female Actor Award in 2000 at the Mangalia Gala for Young Actors. The European Film Promotion Board named her an European Shooting Star in 2008. She was an actor from Romania in Romanian actress in Cristian Mungiu's 4 luni3 Two days, 4 months (four months, three weeks and two three weeks and two days) that was awarded the Palme d'Or and other prizes during the 2007 Cannes Film Festival. She also appeared in Francis Ford Coppola's film Youth Without Youth. The film was released in 2008. She starred as Yasim in Angwar, the BBC five-episode Miniseries The Last Enemy. Marinca was a part of Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven as well as the Romanian drama Boogie. She later was Irma's German Aunt in Fury that was released in 2014.
