Patricia Apollonia Kotero, an American singer and actress has been a model for a while. Her name was associated with her as the co-star of Prince's 1984 film Purple Rain, and the vocalist for the girl group Apollonia 6 The singer and actress named Apollonia by Prince was one of many female performers in the 1980s to benefit from her association with the Purple One. Patricia Kotero began her acting and modeling career in Santa Monica California, in the latter half of the '70s. The first time she appeared was on CHiPS. In 1984, the actress was cast as the leading woman in the movie Prince's Purple Rain. After a dispute about the direction of her career Apollonia 6 split up and Kotero ended her association with Prince. She was later seen in a few minor roles during the time (reportedly refusing to take part as a character in the Purple Rain follow-up Under the Cherry Moon) prior to landing an appearance on the evening-time show Falcon Crest during 1985-1986. Apollonia made her official debut in 1988. However, the album of R&B/dance it was a bit stale and didn't leave a lasting impression on the music buyers of the time, quickly vanished. During the following decade, she continued to be active as an actress (if a little under the radar), with minor film roles, television appearances and even an exercise film. Apollonia's Stay With Me album came out in 1997. In later years, after going back to college and obtaining a degree for filmmaking she formed her production business. Apollonia Kotero wears many hats. She has been an actress, singer, and model. Her most well-known role is an actress who played the character in the film Purple Rain from 1984. Apart from Purple Rain, she has been in numerous TV shows and movies such as Black Magic Woman or The Divorce Ceremony. Kotero debuted her career as a model.
